Outreach

As part of the Outreach Team, you can help change lives by showing God's love to your community. Our community is anyone you come in contact with-your neighbor, a co-worker, the person in the car next to you, etc. Through group events, volunteer projects, or personal acts of kindness, you can help spread God's love. Whether it's spending a few minutes baking cookies or a few hours with the less fortunate, our passion should be people. The Outreach Team does not meet on a regular basis, but email communication is a must. If interested, please email Kristi Johnson or call the church office @ 614-920-4020

 This Month's Outreach:

Domincan Trip

Our church-wide outreach for April will be focused on items we can take to the Dominican Republic with us to give to the children we will be serving.  We will be collecting items such as coloring books, crayons, toy cars (Hot Wheels and Matchbox, for example), sports balls and hand pumps, Barbies, and craft items.  We can not take electronics.  Items can be dropped off at the info desk every Sunday in April.
Not sure about an item? Contact Scott Stem for information.

Mission Support

The Great Commission is a team effort.  As Christians, we are called to support each other, build each other up, and pray for one another.  As a church, we want to model that as well.  That's why we support the following ministries financially, prayerfully, and physically.  Here are ministries we support and a little bit about them:

Compassion International Logo

Compassion International is a Christian child advocacy ministry whose goal is to help children in physical, spiritual, social and economic poverty around the world understand the love of Christ and grow in that love as Christ following adults.  They do this by providing sponsors for each child, so that every child can receive food, shelter, education and heath care as well as Christian teaching.  Sponsors worldwide have helped 1.2 million children in 26 countries.  For more information, click here or email our area representative (and SCC family) Uma Zielinski.
