As part of the Outreach Team, you can help change lives by showing God's love to your community. Our community is anyone you come in contact with-your neighbor, a co-worker, the person in the car next to you, etc. Through group events, volunteer projects, or personal acts of kindness, you can help spread God's love. Whether it's spending a few minutes baking cookies or a few hours with the less fortunate, our passion should be people. The Outreach Team does not meet on a regular basis, but email communication is a must. If interested, please email Kristi Johnson or call the church office @ 614-920-4020
Our church-wide outreach for March is for Our Father’s Project. We are collecting Speedway Gift Cards for Our Father’s Project that will be used for ministry to inner city families. So stop by Speedway this week, grab your coffee and a gift card for Our Father’s Project. Drop it off at the info center during the month of March.
Don’t have time to get a card? Drop off some cash and we will shop for you! Any questions, contact Kristi Johnson.
The Great Commission is a team effort. As Christians, we are called to support each other, build each other up, and pray for one another. As a church, we want to model that as well. That's why we support the following ministries financially, prayerfully, and physically. Here are ministries we support and a little bit about them:
Compassion International is a Christian child advocacy ministry whose goal is to help children in physical, spiritual, social and economic poverty around the world understand the love of Christ and grow in that love as Christ following adults. They do this by providing sponsors for each child, so that every child can receive food, shelter, education and heath care as well as Christian teaching. Sponsors worldwide have helped 1.2 million children in 26 countries. For more information, click here or email our area representative (and SCC family) Uma Zielinski.
Athletes in Action is a ministry with a vision to have at least one Christ follower on every team, in every sport and in every nation.
